Gyldendal publishing house, founded in 1770, is a cornerstone of Danish culture. They present new authors, books and news from all over the literary world through their book club and needed a new expression to better connect them to contemporary culture.

Our work strives to transform the club’s bimonthly issue from a simple book catalogue to an inspirational magazine on literature. The bold and colourful expression was created to nudge young people to think of reading as something exciting and fun rather than a chore. An essential task was to make the visual identity work across all media so the club would be ready to face new competitors, even newer technologies and an ever-changing media landscape online.
